Client Journey: What to Expect When You Start Working with Me

Starting a fitness journey can be overwhelming, especially when you don’t know what to expect. My goal is to make sure you feel supported from day one. Whether you're stepping into the gym for the first time or you're an experienced lifter looking to take your training to the next level, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Step 1: Your First Consultation

Before we dive into training, it all starts with a conversation. In your initial consultation, we’ll discuss your goals, current fitness level, and any mobility concerns or past injuries. This is a chance for me to learn more about you and for you to ask questions about my coaching style. We’ll cover everything from what motivates you to what your schedule looks like — ensuring our plan fits seamlessly into your life.

Step 2: Mobility and Strength Assessments

I prioritize mobility because it’s the foundation for safe, effective strength training. In our first few sessions, we’ll perform mobility assessments to identify any areas that might need extra attention. Whether it’s improving hip flexibility for a deeper squat or increasing shoulder mobility for better overhead lifts, addressing these areas early on sets you up for long-term success. After mobility, we’ll assess your strength with basic movement patterns, such as squats, deadlifts, and presses, to see where you’re starting.

Step 3: Personalized Programming

Based on your consultation and assessments, I’ll create a personalized program tailored to your unique needs and goals. Your program won’t be cookie-cutter — it will reflect where you are in your journey and where you want to go. Whether we’re focusing on muscle building, fat loss, or prepping for a bodybuilding competition, every workout will be designed to push you toward your goals while maintaining a focus on longevity and injury prevention.

Step 4: Ongoing Support and Adjustments

Once we’re in the groove, you can expect ongoing support. I’m not just here to put you through workouts — I’m here to check in on how you’re feeling, adjust your program as needed, and provide accountability when life gets busy. We’ll review your progress regularly, tweak nutrition, refine technique, and ensure your body is functioning optimally. Whether it's a pep talk or technical advice, you'll always have my support both in and outside the gym.
